WVFDWHEATCROFT, Ky. (8/23/19) — Wheatcroft Fire Department responded to a pickup truck fire Thursday night that involved an accidental fuel spill.

Officials say the fuel spilled from a container came in contact with an electric fence.

WFD Chief Kerry DeHaven said crews went to the scene 8:45 p.m. at 248 E. Cullen St. in Wheatcroft to extinguish the fire, which caused moderate damage to the truck. No one was injured during the incident.

Clay Fire Department and Webster County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Benton assisted at the scene.
