McLean County logoLEITCHFIELD, Ky. (12/7/19) — Persistent McLean County managed to defeat host Grayson County 46-41 in an early-season boys' high school basketball game on Friday night.

The win allowed McLean County to move to 2-0.

Grayson County dropped to 1-1 as a result of the loss.

Logan Patterson scored 13 points to lead McLean County to the win.

Finishing directly behind Patterson in scoring for the Cougars from Calhoun, Jacob Clark posted 12 points.

After facing a two-point deficit at the conclusion of the first quarter, McLean County outscored Grayson County 15-4 in the second period to lead 21-11 at halftime.

Nolan Shartzer paced Grayson County with a game-high 16 points. Joining Shartzer in double figures in scoring for homestanding Grayson County, Hunter Tomes tossed in 10 points.
