Arnold Ray BratcherROSEDALE, Ind. — Arnold Ray Bratcher, 87, of Rosedale, Ind., formerly of Hartford, Ky., passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at his residence. He was born in Ohio County, Ky., on June 2, 1928, to the late Homer E. and Grace Smith Bratcher.

Mr. Bratcher was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He retired from the Bud Company in Gary, Ind., where he worked in the automotive industry. He was a member of Liberty Lighthouse Church of God in Hartford.

Survivors include one son, Kevin Ray (Paula Lynne) Bratcher, of Rosedale; one granddaughter, Krystal Lynne Bratcher, of Rosedale, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ione Bratcher, in 1986, and his second wife, Beatrice Himes Bratcher, in 2012.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, with Rev. Mary Doepel and Rev. Jerry Bratcher officiating.  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford with military rites performed by the Wesley Phelps Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday and from noon until the time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
