James Hugh ChinnHOUSTON, Texas, James “Jim” Hugh Chinn, 77, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016, at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Jim was born on July 1, 1938, in Highland Park, Mich., to the late Hulette Smith and Margaret Ann Karber Chinn.

Jim graduated from high school and later college at St. Edwards University, in Austin, Texas, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and Accounting. Jim was a veteran of the United States Army, and he worked for various public accounting firms before starting a 25 year career as a Federal Revenue Agent for the United States Department of Treasury’s Bureau of Internal Revenue Service.

Jim is survived by his sons, Michael James and wife, Aracely, of Houston, Texas, and Matthew Stephen and wife, Katherine, of Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Parker, Carolina, Hayes, Hudson and Carter; brother, Gayle, of Royal Oak, Mich., and many other relatives and dear friends.

Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Tony Shouse officiating. Graveside Service will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donation to the James Chinn hs ’56, ’61 Memorial Fund at St. Edward’s University, 3001 S. Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704.
