OCOHIO COUNTY, Ky. (10/8/19) — Ohio County Sheriff’s Office reported deputies, officers from Hartford Police Department and Kentucky State Police troopers surrounded a Hartford home Monday to serve an arrest warrant.

Police were looking for 40-year-old George Clapp, who was wanted on four outstanding warrants including a drug trafficking charge.

Sheriff Tracy Beatty indicated deputies received information that Clapp was at his Hartford home off White Avenue. Once inside, officers retrieved 149 grams of crystal meth, a handgun along with paraphernalia items.

Clapp was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (meth), possession of meth (second offense), drug paraphernalia and convicted felon in possession of a handgun.
