logsCLEATON, Ky. (2/24/20) — A trooper on Sunday afternoon patrol in Cleaton noticed two men were loading logs onto a truck and trailer that had no tail lamps.

Kentucky State Police Post 2 reported Trooper Justin Cornett looked into the matter, where he met Michael Lambert, 42 of Greenville, and Dillon Noffsinger, 26 of Bremen at 3:33 p.m. at the Nonnell Cutoff Road location.

After investigating, the officer learned the men were trespassing on private property and had cut down trees in the process of stealing them, according to the report.

Lambert was charged with theft by unlawful taking (less than $10,000), third-degree criminal trespassing, no registration receipt, no registration plate, improper equipment, instructional permit violation and dragging stones or logs on the highway.

Noffsinger was charged with theft by unlawful taking (less than $10,000), third-degree criminal trespassing, dragging stones or logs on the highway and possession of drug paraphernalia.
