drug investigation 04 300GREENVILLE, Ky. (2/4/20) — After more than a year of investigating an alleged drug trafficking operation, authorities in Muhlenberg County moved in on the suspect in Greenville this week.

Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force reported detectives and Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office deputies served a search warrant Monday night at 415 W. Campbell St. along with officers from Kentucky State Police DESI and Greenville Police Department.

Authorities indicated receiving information that 36-year-old Allison C. Lovan was selling “large amounts of methamphetamine” as well as marijuana.

A search of the property yielded 250 grams of crystal meth, 2 pounds of marijuana, pills, $5,000 cash and a handgun, PNTF Director David Thompson wrote.

Lovan was charged with first-degree trafficking in meth, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. All charges were enhanced due to firearm possession, PNTF listed.

The DEA, KSP and Constable Hambrick assisted during the arrest.

Lovan was not listed as an inmate in Muhlenberg County Jail this evening.
