FPCCENTRAL CITY, Ky. (1/23/20) — A historic building once used for thousands of church services is now serving a new purpose.

Central City officials announced First Presbyterian Church trustees have gifted the building to the city. The religious organization ceased services at the location about a year ago.

The building is available for rent including events like weddings, revivals, meetings, children’s summer programs, crisis resource center or as a shelter for displaced residents during extreme temperatures, according to the City of Central City, Kentucky Facebook page.
