“With our new website, we are bringing several things,” Muhlenberg County 911 supervisor David T. Knight said. “We are offering a printable application for employment, and soon, an online application will be available.”

The site can be accessed on the web by visiting

Other signup features include an address coordinator designed to return calls to individuals, records forms, Smart911 services and severe weather notifications.

Knight said dispatch is working with Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office to list Most Wanted information. Farmers can also register livestock information for notification in the event farm animals get loose.

Business owners can sign up to provide key holder information in the event of an emergency for quicker notification, Knight explained. The anonymous e-tip page is available so that residents can submit non-life-threatening tips related to criminal or suspicious activity.

The community outreach page listed on the new website is available for civic or school groups to schedule a tour of the 911 facility. Residents or businesses can also opt to sign up for extra patrol while they are away.

“We are hoping this new, interactive website makes it easier for the public to give vital information in a more convenient manner,” Knight said. “We are moving forward together at the Muhlenberg County 911 office to better serve our community.”
