CCCP 5CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (11/25/19) — Hundreds lined the downtown streets in Central City to view the annual Christmas Parade Sunday afternoon.

Master of Ceremonies Brayden Morris waved to the crowd leading all the festive parade entries along with local officials and organizers including Melissa Recke, Mayor Tony Armour, Dr. Freddie Mayes and, last but not least, Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Winners in the Commercial Division were Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital with first-place, Farmers Bank and Trust in second followed by Shady Cliff Lodge and Marina.

Non-Commercial Division parade entry winners were Central City Cheerleaders in first followed by Muhlenberg County 4-H Horse Club and Knobb’s Church of God of Prophecy in third.

City officials said Jubilee on Broad was a success and many took part in merchant specials throughout Sunday afternoon that also offered photos with Santa, wagon rides and ice skating.
