Stanley JosephCLEATON, Ky. (10/10/19) — A 41-year-old Cleaton resident apparently looking to make a quick buck allegedly sold meth to a drug task force confidant.

Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force reported Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Detective Troy Gibson, assigned to PNTF, arrested Joseph R. Stanley.

“Stanley had sold a quantity of methamphetamine” to the confidential informant, PNTF Director David Thompson wrote.

Officers picked up Stanley at his home off Main Street earlier this week. He was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (meth) and taken to Muhllenberg County Jail, where he was listed as being held today, pending bond.

MCSO deputies and Kentucky State Police DESI-West assisted with the investigation.
