GREENVILLE, Ky. (10/7/19) — Two suspects were arrested after an investigation in Greenville this evening.

A man allegedly attempted to enter a relative’s residence off South Main Street. Multiple police units were seen in the area across from Muhlenberg South Middle School.

Greenville Police Department reported Mark Clinton Johnson, 41 of Greenville, ran into a wooded area behind the home and apparently fired a shotgun prior to police arriving on scene.

No injuries were reported, GPD Spokesman Wes Miller stated.

GPD reported finding Johnson and Misty A. Neal, 42 of South Carrollton, near the Greenville Water Treatment Plant off Prtichett Drive.

Johnson was charged with second-degree attempted burglary, public intoxication, second-degree fleeing police on foot and convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

Neal was charged with second-degree fleeing police on foot.

Kentucky State Police, Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office, Powderly and Central City police departments also responded to assist at the scene.
