Adams PWHITE PLAINS, Ky. (2/17/20) — Kentucky State Police reported a trooper confiscated what appeared to be more than 2 ounces of meth during a traffic stop involving a 61-year-old White Plains man.

According to Post 2, Trooper Cody Kromer stopped a 1998 Chevy van for a speeding violation along Old Nortonville White Plains Road around 9:05 p.m. Sunday.

KSP indicated the driver, identified as Phillip Adams, appeared to be under the influence. Adams was charged with speeding 15 mph over limit, careless driving, no insurance card, DUI and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (meth).

Adams was released from Hopkins County Jail on $1,000 cash bond this afternoon.
