Gibbons HMADISONVILLE, Ky. (1/28/20) — A city patrolman apprehended a man allegedly trespassing on CSX rail property near West Jagoe Street Monday afternoon.

The suspect, identified as Herman Gibbons, 47 of Madisonville, disobeyed Patrolman Austin Madden’s orders to stop and instead fled on foot at 3:57 p.m, according to a press release. There were no reported injuries.

After a brief pursuit, Gibbons was apprehended, MPD reported, and he had a Keltec 9mm handgun. A criminal history check listed Gibbons as a convicted felon.

He was charged with third-degree criminal trespassing, first-degree fleeing police, resisting arrest and convicted felon in possession of a handgun. Gibbons was listed as being held in Hopkins County Jail today, pending bond.
