interstate 69 300HANSON, Ky. (1/11/20) — Work originally scheduled Sunday along I-69 has been postponed to Sunday, Jan. 26, just north of the Hanson Exit in Hopkins County.

Big Rivers Electric Corp. will be replacing electrical lines across that section of the interstate, state highway officials reported.

The work at mile marker 122 will be conducted between 7-9 a.m., Kentucky Transportation Spokeswoman Keirsten Jaggers said. Rolling road blocks will be used to slow traffic, when the wire is being pulled across the highway.

Electrical crews estimate a 10 minute slow-down in traffic flow as the work is done. Drivers traveling that section of the interstate are asked to reduce speed and use caution.
