UPDATE: EARLINGTON, Ky. (12/2/19) — Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville responded to a call of a two-vehicle collision on I-69 near mile-marker 110 at 6:05 p.m. Saturday.

Preliminary investigation revealed  Zackary Green, 29 of Central City, was driving a 2005 Ford Taurus with passengers Hannah Green, 28, of Central City, and a 2-year old female.

KSP reported the vehicle had mechanical issues, and Green was attempting to exit the road, when his vehicle was struck from behind by an International tractor-trailer driven by Martin Chappell, 56 of Lebanon, Missouri.

Zackary Green was transported to Midtown Deaconess Hospital and the 2-year old was transported to Norton’s Children’s Hospital for treatment of injuries, Post 2 indicated. Chappell was transported to Baptist Health Madisonville, where he was treated and released. Hannah Green was not treated for injuries.

Conditions of the father and daughter who were reported injured are unknown.

The investigation is ongoing.

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (11/30/19) — A crash that disrupted traffic for about two hours this evening along I-69 in Hopkins County has been cleared, according to Hopkins County Sheriff's Office.

HCSO indicated Kentucky State Police Post 2 has taken over the invesigation. 

It is belived a tractor-trailer and SUV crashed around 6 tonight near mile-marker 110, between the Earlington and Mortons Gap exits. Several people stopped in traffic told SurfKY News this evening multiple ambulances were at the scene. It is unknown how many people were injured.

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (11/30/19) — It is believed the Pennyrile Parkway/I-69 southbound lanes were shut down near mile-marker 110 around 6 p.m. for a semi vs. SUV collision.

Hopkins County Central Dispatch nor Kentucky State Police Post 2 could provide information related to the crash.

It is also believed an accident reconstructionist has been called out to the scene. More information will be provided as it becomes available. Someone stopped in traffic, between the Earlington and Mortons Gap Exits on I-69, saw several ambulances.
