Hopkins County Sheriff's Office reported Coley Harris, 65 of Paducah, was pronounced deceased at the scene following the 7:37 p.m. single-vehicle incident.

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (9/9/19) — Hopkins County authorities are still working to notify next of kin regarding a Paducah driver pronounced deceased at the scene of a single-vehicle crash off I-69 Saturday evening.

South Hopkins Volunteer Fire Department crews along with Nortonville Squad 2 responded to the 7:37 p.m. incident at mile-marker 106.

Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office reported today the vehicle was traveling south on I-69, when it went off the left side of the road for undetermined reasons. It struck a drainage tile, continued south and then struck a large light pole, which caused the vehicle to spin.

Hopkins County Coroner’s Office pronounced the driver deceased at the scene, according to a preliminary news release.

Medical Center Ambulance assisted.
