Madisonville North Hopkins MaroonsHENDERSON, Ky. (1/19/20) — Determined Madisonville-North Hopkins used a 9-0 run late in the fourth quarter to defeat host Henderson County 56-48 in a boys' high school basketball game on Saturday night.

With the win, Madisonville-North Hopkins improved to 15-3.

Henderson County dropped to 10-9 with the loss.

The Colonels started strong, doubling up the Maroons 12-6 in the opening quarter. But Madisonville-North Hopkins heated up offensively. The Maroons battled back to lead 22-19 at halftime.

Madisonville-North Hopkins, which was without second-leading scorer and top rebounder Ksuan Casey, clung to a 38-36 lead at the conclusion of the third quarter and trailed during the final period before finishing strong. Casey was sidelined with the flu.

Kenny White led Madisonville-North Hopkins with a game-high 20 points. Accompanying White in double figures and recording a double-double for the Maroons, Deljuan Johnson added 15 points and 16 rebounds.

Daymian Dixon paced Henderson County with a team-high 17 points. Joining Dixon in double figures in scoring for the Colonels, Lance Skinner contributed 12 points.
