OCSOHENDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (1/27/20) — Deputies and troopers responded to a Busby Station Road residence Sunday afternoon that led to a standoff situation with a man.

Henderson County Sheriff’s Office reported deputies and Kentucky State Police were investigating statements that the 29-year-old man was going to commit suicide and to also serve an EPO at 3:18 p.m.

The man was reported to be sitting in the driver’s seat of his SUV in the driveway, where he threatened to drive his vehicle into a tree. He also held a knife to his neck. Deputies began to talk the individual “out of the situation” as Henderson Police Department Emergence Response Team staged in the area.

Nearly three hours later, the man complied with deputies orders and was then taken to Methodist Health for evaluation, HCSO indicated.
