UPDATE: HENDERSON, Ky. (1/23/20) — Henderson County Sheriff’s Office released information related to a vehicle vs pedestrian incident that occurred 3 p.m. today along US. 60-E in Spottsville.

A news release lists the man injured was 41-year-old John Basham. He was taken by ambulance to St. Vincent Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The driver, 18-year-old Whitnie West of Reed, was not listed as injured.

SPOTTSVILLE, Ky. (1/23/20) — U.S. 60-E near Ridgewood Road in Spottsville was shut down before 3:30 p.m. today after a man was struck by a vehicle. The road was reopened to traffic at 3:45 p.m.

Spottsville Fire Department, Henderson Sheriff’s Office, Henderson EMS and Rescue responded to the location, where an adult man was injured and taken to an Evansville, Indiana hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown.

Deputies at the scene indicated the resident was running back from his mailbox when he was struck, and went down an embankment into a ditch.
