chase hpdHENDERSON, Ky. (11/14/19) — Henderson Police Department is investigating an incident related to a group of individuals in a gray or blue Hyundai said to have pulled a gun on someone along the 1200 block of Cumnock Street Wednesday.

HPD reported officers located the vehicle in question at 3:44 p.m. traveling in an alley off the 900 block of First Street. As a traffic stop was being made, the driver fled the area. The vehicle was listed as stolen out of Boyd County.

“The vehicle fled through the East End of Henderson until it missed a turn in the 1300 block of Powell Street and struck a building on the corner of Mill Street,” police wrote. “Multiple subjects fled on foot from the vehicle.”

The driver was caught, city officers said, and a youth contacted dispatch to turn himself in afterward, because he lost his shoes while fleeing the scene and was not from the Henderson area.

Police indicated all parties involved were juveniles. Two juveniles were taken to McCracken County Juvenile Detention Center.

HPD is still investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call (270) 831-1295 or Henderson Crime Stoppers at (270) 831-1111.
