special needs expoOWENSBORO, Ky. (8/13/19) — Wendell Foster, a local agency serving people with disabilities, is hosting the 2nd Annual Special Needs Expo on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 10 a.m. -  2 p.m. at the Owensboro Convention Center.

The Expo is an opportunity for community agencies to collaborate in providing information about resources and services that will assist families in supporting a loved one with a disability. The Expo will include non-profit organizations, state agencies, and private businesses that offer services in the following areas:

Adult Day Services
Advocacy and Support
Assistive Technology
Behavior Supports
Early Childhood
Education
Employment
Futures Planning
Health & Rehab
Recreation
Waivers

There is no charge to attend the Expo. 

FEATURING:
Music by Prof G
GRADSA's Star Squad will perform @ 10:15 am
Sensory friendly magic show with Cody Clark Magic @ 11:15 am and 1:30 pm
Musick Studios All Abilities class will perform @ 12:15 pm
Leland “Hammer Jammer” Isbill will perform @ 1:15 pm

PLUS:
Aetna Better Health of Kentucky will provide free backpacks. 
Ambucs trike screenings by Wendell Foster's Physical Therapy Staff
Sensory room by Theratree
Kids corner with games and face painting
Door prizes provided by vendors will be given away every hour.
Concessions will be available.
