Owensboro HSOWENSBORO, Ky. (10/15/19) — Owensboro rolled in the opening round of the 3rd Region Boys' Soccer Tournament on Monday, shutting out Meade County 10-0 at Owensboro Catholic High School.

With the win, Owensboro improved to 16-5-2 and advances to the semifinals of the 3rd Region Boys' Soccer Tournament.

Meade County ended its season 2-16-2 with the loss.

Joshua Head scored four goals and dealt out one assist to lead Owensboro to the postseason victory.

Along with Head, Grayson McFarland (two goals), Baxter Brown (one goal), Reis Dickinson (one goal), Paxton Jenkins (one goal, three assists), Andrew Saltsman (one goal, three assists), Marcos Barrera Jimeno (one assist) and Hser Thaw (one assist) contributed offensively for the Red Devils.

Goalkeeper Radley Worth paced Owensboro defensively, recording seven saves and a shutout.
