HCC MLK copyHOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (1/16/20) — In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Hopkinsville Community College will host its annual MLK Jr. Celebration at noon Tuesday in the Auditorium Building, Thomas L. Riley Lecture Hall.

Pastor William E. Ferrell will present “Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Christian Pastor — A Glimpse, of his Life and Spiritual Calling that Fueled His Social Ministry.”

Ferrell has been an ordained pastor for more than 30 years serving in California, Florida and Tennessee. He is currently an Associate Minister at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Cadiz. Ferrell is also a second-year Human Services major at Hopkinsville Community College, where he is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Sigma Alpha Pi honor societies. He is also a disabled U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Howe-Finley No. 160 Masonic Lodge. Ferrell is currently a second shift supervisor at Wyndham Garden in Hopkinsville.

A light lunch will be provided during the free, public event, HCC reported.
