Blazer BasketballSMITHLAND, Ky. (1/19/20) — University Heights Academy captured its eighth consecutive 2nd Region All 'A' Classic championship on Saturday night, pulling away to defeat Caldwell County 69-61 in overtime in the title game at Livingston Central High School.

With the win, UHA improved to 10-8 and advanced to the statewide small-school tournament.

Caldwell County dropped to 8-9 with the loss.

K.J. Crump led UHA with a game-high 23 points. Accompanying Crump in double figures in scoring for the Blazers, DJ Quarles and Will Bryan added 16 points apiece.

Following a back and forth first half, Caldwell County led 31-28 at halftime.

The Blazers and Tigers were tied 53-53 at the end of regulation.

Adarius Riley led Caldwell County with 18 points. JaMarius Blaine followed Riley in scoring for the Tigers, adding 16 points. Nearly recorded a double-double for Caldwell County, Cole Smiley scored nine points and grabbed a game-high 21 rebounds.
