apollo eagles logo 2015DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. (1/12/20) — Apollo remained in the win column on Saturday, pummeling host Dawson Springs 95-65 in a boys' high school basketball game.

Rivals from neighboring regions, Apollo and Dawson Springs met for the first time in the 2019-20 boys' high school basketball season. 

With the win, Apollo improved to 3-13.

Dawson Springs dropped to 5-9 with the loss.

Harrison Bowman scored a game-high 24 points to lead Apollo to the victory.

The Eagles carried a double digit lead out of each quarter. Apollo set the tone early, outscoring Dawson Springs 34-15 in the opening period.

Cameron Frantz netted 16 points for Apollo while Malik Wilson added 14 points and Landon Hamilton contributed 13 points.

Sharing game-high scoring honors with Apollo's Bowman, Skyler Clark paced Dawson Springs with 24 points. Landon Pace added 16 points for the Panthers while Dylan Dawson posted 10 points.
