Owensboro Catholic logoOWENSBORO, Ky. (1/21/20) — Owensboro Catholic used a balanced scoring attack to pull away to beat visiting Butler County 66-56 in a boys' high school basketball game on Monday night.

With the win, Owensboro Catholic improved to 12-6.

Butler County dropped to 13-4 with the loss.

After facing a three-point deficit at halftime, Owensboro Catholic outscored Butler County 23-10 in the third quarter.

Brian Griffith and Drew Hartz scored 15 points apiece to lead Owensboro Catholic to the victory. Owensboro Catholic featured four scorers in double figures as Ji Webb netted 14 points and Gray Weaver added 10 points.

Parker Rice paced Butler County with a game-high 19 points. Accompanying Rice in double figures in scoring for the Bears, Levi McMillin netted 14 points.
