Owensboro Red DevilsOWENSBORO, Ky. (9/20/19) — Owensboro notched its ninth straight win on Thursday, beating host Owensboro Catholic 5-1 in a 9th District boys' soccer match.

With the win, Owensboro improved to 12-3-2 overall and 5-1-0 in the 9th District.

Owensboro Catholic slipped to 5-6-1 overall and 0-6-0 in the district with the loss.

Marcos Barrera Jimeno netted two goals to lead Owensboro to the victory.

Several players contributred offensively for the Red Devils, including Grayson McFarland (one goal), Hser Thaw (one goal, two assists), Andrew Saltsman (one goal), Noah Tucker (one assist), Jacob Hunt (one assist) and Reis Dickinson (one assist).

Defensively for Owensboro, goalkeeper Radley Worth recorded seven saves while allowing only one goal.

Lance Dickens scored off an assist from Cole Blandford for Owensboro Catholic's lone goal.
