Maroons logoCALHOUN, Ky. (1/21/20) — Madisonville-North Hopkins returned to the win column on the road on Monday night, defeating host McLean County 54-41 in a girls' high school basketball game.

With the win, Madisonville-North Hopkins improved to 18-1.

McLean County dropped to 9-8 with the loss.

Madisonville-North Hopkins bounced back after suffering its first setback in the 2019-20 season over the weekend.

The Lady Maroons won convincingly despite shooting only 29.2 percent (14-of-48) from the field. Madisonville-North Hopkins managed to shoot 75.9 percent (22-of-29) from the free throw line.

Courtney Peyton led Madisonville-North Hopkins with 20 points. Peyton was 7-of-8 from the free throw line.

Madisonville-North Hopkins featured three scorers in double figures as Camryn LaGrange added 16 points and Lindsey Peyton posted 11 points.
