muhl mustangs1 300GREENVILLE, Ky. (9/7/19) — Muhlenberg County rolled to its first win in the 2019 high school football season on Friday night, leveling visiting Hopkins County Central 50-12 at Mustang Stadium.

With the win, Muhlenberg County improved to 1-2.

Hopkins County Central slipped to 0-3 with the loss.

The Mustangs set the tone early and gradually pulled away to win convincingly.

Winky Drake scored four touchdowns to lead Muhlenberg County to the victory. Drake rushed 13 times for 78 yards and three touchdowns. Through the air, Drake hauled in a 31-yard scoring reception from quarterback Bronzyn Healy.

As part of a solid outing, Healy completed three of five passes for 92 yards and two touchdowns while throwing one interception. The Muhlenberg County quarterback connected with Zach Hardin on a 55-yard scoring pass.

Jamie Bullock contributed on the ground for the Mustangs, rushing eight times for 66 yards and one touchdown.
